Friday Night Lights Week 7 Review

As we kick off the week 7 edition of our Friday Night Lights Review we get you started with our games of the week.

First, we had the undefeated Lee Generals taking the trip to face the always good Prattville Lions. The trip proved to be too much as the Lions came out on top giving Lee their first loss of the season winning handily 20-3.

In our somebody’s 0 must go game the Pike Road Patriots outlasted the St. James Trojans by a score of 35-24 giving the Trojans their 1 “L” of the season.

And as for out 3rd Game of the week another battle of undefeated teams turned out to be a barn burner as Luverne was able to narrowly edge out Goshen 27-26.

With a lot of games to mention were just going to run them off: Pensacola Catholic 47 Autauga Academy 27, Selma 46 Calera 27, Greenville 21 Charles Henderson 10, Sidney Lanier picks up their 2nd win of the season beating Russell County 12-0, Reeltown 22 Thorsby 8, Pike County blows out formally undefeated Providence Christian 47-10, Central Phenix City 42 Enterprise 13, Marbury 44 Central Tuscaloosa 42, Macon East 18 Lowndes Academy 13, Dale County 37 BTW Tuskegee 22, ACA 28 Headland 22, Opelika 45 Benjamin Russell 17, The Carver Wolverines drop their 2nd straight game losing to Dothan 44-20, and the Stanhope Elmore Mustangs win a huge road game over bitter rival the Wetumpka Indians 28-20.

In a new category we have our snorfest game of the week as the Montgomery Academy Eagles beat Dadeville 8-2.

In our Defense is optional aka Basketball on grass games Tuscaloosa Christian over North River Christian 82-62 and Trinity Christian beats Southern Prep Academy 70-60.

And after a busy week all over the state last week the proverbial football corners had a somewhat lighter week, but the beatings were still severe. First we have Highland Home blasting Zion chapel 49-0, Southside Selma zipped up Prattville Christian 58-14, Eufaula ran amuck on Park Crossing 50-29, with their weekly appearance in this unfortunate segment Calhoun losses to New Brocton 50-14, Catholic put up 55 on Ashford to stay undefeated 55-28, and Autaugaville placed a Hulk Hogan leg drop on Verbena 50-0. Other notable Body Bags Greene county 61 Hale County 0 and Hartselle disrespected Columbia 76-0.
