National Preparedness Month

Governor Kay Ivey is encouraging residents to have a plan ready during September’s “National Preparedness Month.”

The Alabama Emergency Management Agency and the Federal Emergency Management Agency recommend every home have a basic emergency Go-Kit including water and non-perishable food to last for several days, a cell phone with weather/news apps and a flashlight with extra batteries.

For additional information on planning for emergencies, visit the www.ready.gov
