Civil Rights Mural Unveiling

Mayor Todd Strange and Montgomery County Commissioner Elton Dean, unveiled a mural honoring Montgomery's ties to the Civil Rights Movement Thursday at the Rufus Lewis Library.  Local artist Bill Ford was chosen to create the pictorial imagery of the 1955 scene of the Cleveland Avenue bus to the imagery of the 50th Anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery march.  Ford says he credits his talent to his dad.  In addition to the mural, C-SPAN kicked off its city tour and will highlight the story of Montgomery on television March 19th and 20th.
