Friday Night Lights Week 5 Review

Week 5 of the High School football season has come and gone with some teams solidifying their dominance while others were just happy to get a much needed win.

On the topic of much needed win the Sidney Lanier Poets get their 1st win of the season as the toppled Park Crossing by a score of 30-28. St. James made easy work of Dadeville winning 46-18, ACA did the same to Dale County running over them 49-20 and Ashford spoiled homecoming for the BTW Tuskegee Golden Eagles by 10 30-20.

Prattville made good work of their trip down I65 South as they beat Enterprise 28-18, and in the opposite direction on I65 in Birmingham the Stanhope Elmore Mustangs beat up on Shades Valley 26-6, While McAdory downed Selma 44-6.

The Lee Generals stay undefeated as they won a hard fought contest vs. Smiths Station 25-10, Pike Road wins another 1 routing Bullock county 38-3, and Catholic doubles up rival Trinity 26-13.

And in this week’s Body Bag Game of the week we had multiple casualties throughout the state as the Calhoun Tigers make their 3rd appearance in this unfortunate segment as they were blasted by Zion Chapel 47-0 and Montgomery Academy drew a chalk outline around Prattville Christian also by a score of 47-0.
