Friday Night Lights Week 10 Review

The Montgomery Advertiser

Week 10 of the high school football season has come and gone and with that some teams are looking to gear up for state championship runs while others get ready for basketball season.

With some games being moved to Thursday due to the threat of inclement weather the slate of games is not as long as weeks past, but the games did not disappoint.

Starting us off this week are the Prattville Lions as they beat up on Smiths station 49-21, Greenville blows out Carroll 28-7, the Lee Generals end their season with a win after a late season collapse  over Davidson 40-7, and Jeff Davis falls to Enterprise 22-14.

Other notable games: Central over Calhoun in a rivalry game 34-14, Lincoln drops Elmore County 34-7, Macon-East 44-Northside Methodist 12, ACA over Ashford 24-6, Tallassee edges Beauregard 35-28, and Dothan wins a close one over Lanier 22-19. In our WVAS games of the week powerhouse Central Phenix City runs away from Auburn 34-7 and in a knockout drag out type of game Ranburne improves to 8-1 on the season all while handing Reeltown their 1st loss of the season by a score of 27-26.

And our proverbial football corners had a slow week this week as it was only one team they needed to pick up this week as Prattville Christian ends their season winless as they lose to Dadeville 45-14 in our final “Body Bag” game of the week.

Tune in this Friday as we bring you our Friday Night Lights week 11 preview and an early look into some key playoff matchups.
