Friday Night Lights Week 1 Playoff Preview

The road to a state championship has officially begun as the playoffs are set to kick-off tonight all throughout the state.

With some teams looking to continue the success of the regular season some teams are looking to pull the upset and make a Cinderella run to a championship.

We start off with 8-3 Glenwood at 7-2 Macon-East, 3-7 Park Crossing back doored their way into the playoffs but unfortunately have to play 10-0 Saraland, 6-4 Bullock County also has to face an undefeated team in 10-0 Gordo, and 5-5 Wetumpka travels to face 8-2 Bessemer City.

Also 6-4 Greenville is at 7-3 Citronelle, the 4-6 Sidney Lanier Poets travel to Mobile to play 7-3 St. Paul’s Episcopal, 4-5 Charles Henderson heads to 10-0 Faith Academy, 10-1 Pleasant Grove is at 6-4 Chilton County, 6-4 Murphy vs 7-3 Auburn, and 6-4 McAdory is at 8-1 Opelika.

Other Notable Games: 7-3 Andalusia is at 6-4 Trinity, 6-4 Montgomery Academy at 7-3 Winfield, 6-4 Selma plays 9-1 Heuytown, 6-4 Marbury at 8-3 Briarwood Christian, 6-4 ACA is at 6-4 Hillcrest, undefeated Pike Road at 10-0 plays host to 4-6 Carbon hill,5-6 Zion Chapel is at 9-1 Reeltown, powerhouse 9-1 Central Phenix City welcomes 6-4 Fairhope, and 6-4 Oakman is at 9-1 Pike Road.

As for our WVAS games of the week we feature 10-0 Catholic at home vs 8-3 Williamson, 8-2 Paul Bryant is at 8-2 Stanhope Elmore, and 8-2 Prattville travels to 8-2 Theodore.
