Friday Night Lights Championship Edition

With all the eaves and flows of a football season to make it to the championship game is an accomplishment in its own. However, winning the Chip is something these young men can and will cherish for a lifetime.

With that being said let’s take a look at the winners of all 7 state champions from the state of Alabama.

On Wednesday December 4th Thompson got sweet revenge from a loos in the prior year in the same game beating powerhouse Central Phenix City in Body Bag fashion 40-14 to capture the 7A State championship.

On Thursday December 5th Mobile Christian lined up against Piedmont for the 3A state championship with Piedmont taking home the trophy by a score of 26-24. Also, Mars Hill faced off with Lanett in a battle of undefeated teams with Lanett winning by a score of 41-30 capturing the 1A state title. And to round out the day Central of Clay County locked horns with Pleasant Grove with Central coming out victorious by a score of 30-27.

As for Friday December 6th the final day of the season UMS-Wright finished the season undefeated beating Jacksonville 28-17 claiming the class 4A state championship. In the 2A state title game undefeated Fyffe faced off vs one loss Reeltown with Fyffe zipping up Reeltown in again Body Bag fashion 56-7. In the finale of the football season one loss Oxford took on Spanish Fort for the class 6A state championship with Oxford winning in thrilling fashion 14-13.
