In 2018, the Alabama Legislature voted unanimously to designate December 1st as Rosa Parks Day in Alabama. Saint Paul AME Church, the home church to Rosa Parks, is leading the charge in celebrating the 6th Annual Rosa Parks Day in Alabama. We will kick off this event at 5:30 pm with a Unity Walk from Dexter King Memorial Baptist Church to the Rosa Parks Museum. The charge will be given by Dr. Simms, Pastor of Dexter King Memorial Baptist Church. A closing Convocation will be held at 7:00 pm at St. Paul AME Church. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Tommie Tonea Stewart. All events are free and open to the public.
