“For Those Who Bore the Burden in the Heat of Day” Film Festival

The Lowndes County Friends of the Civil Rights Movement will host the “For Those Who Bore the Burden in the Heat of Day” Film Festival. This event will feature four documentaries about Lowndes County and the fight for Civil Rights. The main feature will be “Lowndes County and the Road to Black Power”. Documentary participants and producers will be in attendance. This event will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, starting at 10 am at the Jackson Steele Community Center, 590 Freedom Road, White Hall, AL 36040. Food will be available.
