Former Principle Pleads Guilty

WSFA is reporting a former Montgomery charter school principle will serve 30 days in jail for stealing nearly $45,000.

Court records show 37-year-old Jamia Anderson pleaded guilty to depositing nearly $45,000 into her personal account from Life Academy between April 2021 and November 2023.

After complaints from parents and academic issues about the school’s infrastructure, an interim principle was announced in December of 2023.
