Alabama is financially distressed state

Alabama is one of the most financially distressed states in the nation, according to a new study.
WalletHub compared metrics, like the number of people with accounts in distress, searches about debt, searches about loans, and negative changes to credit scores. The Yellowhammer State came in 17th overall.

Michigan is considered the most distressed state when it comes to money, and New Hampshire the least.

Melanie began her career as a work study student, working in the areas of news reporting, anchoring and news-gathering. After graduating from Alabama State University, she worked as a production assistant at the local NBC affiliate, WSFA-TV. As a News Director at WVAS-FM, Melanie leads her team to produce award- winning newscasts and talk shows.
