By Media group to relocate headquarters from Birmingham to Montgomery
Montgomery, AL – - Media corporation Community Newspaper
Holdings Inc. will move its headquarters from Birmingham to
Montgomery in about 18 months.
The company is funded by the state pension program, the
Retirement Systems of Alabama. It announced Thursday that it will
move into a building the pension program is constructing in
downtown Montgomery. President Donna Barrett says the move will
occur when the building is completed in late 2001 or early 2012.
The company operates 86 daily newspapers, 46 non-daily
newspapers and four television stations. It has about 70 employees
in its Birmingham headquarters.
