Friday Night Lights Week 6 Preview

Week 6 of the high school football season kicked off last night as it was a battle of undefeateds with the Lee General taking on the Carver Wolverines in Crampton Bowl. The Generals came out smoking building an early 28-0 lead before the Wolverines were able to get on the board. The lead was just too much for Carver to overcome as Lee wins going away by a score of 49-14.

Also last night in a basketball game on grass where defense was optional the Edgewood Academy Wildcats beat the Macon-East Knights 70-69.

As for tonight we have some really good games on slate starting with the 2-3 Trinity Wildcats facing off with bitter rival the 3-2 Montgomery Academy Eagles. 2-2 Smiths Station travels to Elmore County to take on the 4-1 Stanhope Elmore Mustangs on their Homecoming.

3-1 Prattville visits 3-2 Wetumpka while 2-2 Billingsly locks up with 0-5 Prattville Christian and somebody’s 0 must go as winless Calhoun takes on winless Red Level. Speaking of winless the 0-4 BTW Golden Eagles of Tuskegee look for their first win of the season as the host 1-3 Bullock County.

More games include undefeated Pike Road gets a visit from 4-1 Headland which should be a great match-up, 1-4 Sidney Lanier Poets look to get their 2nd consecutive win as they take on the 0-4 Jeff Davis Vols. 2-3 Minor makes the trip from Mobile to face the 3-2 Auburn High School Tigers, 4-0 Goshen travels to 2-3 Gerogiana, and the 1-4 Park Crossing Thunder Birds take on Powerhouse 4-1 Central Phenix City Red Devils.

Tune in Monday as week bring you the Friday Night Lights Week 6 Review and see which of these games will be our “Body Bag” game of the week.
