Friday Night Lights Week 3 Recap

Week 3 of High School Football is in the books and the play on the field this week definitely did not disappoint.

It seems as if offenses are started finding their strides in week 3 as several area high schools were putting up big numbers in victories and losses.

Montgomery Academy hung 46 on Beulah as they beat down the Bobcats 46-18, Wetumpka scored early and often vs Calera winning 35-7, Auburn shutout Enterprise by a score of 44-0, and St. James blasted Bullock County on the road 44-21.

The Carver Wolverines outlasted Russell County 22-14, Montgomery Catholic and Pike Road put up 48 points each as the Knights shutout Dale County and Pike Road only yielded 10 points to Prattville Christian.

Stanhope Elmore squeaked past Benjamin Russell 12-7, Opelika hands Selma its first loss of the season as they stay undefeated winning by a score of 23-0, and Park Crossing drops its 3rd straight in as many games losing to Clay-Chalkville 19 to 14.

And for the 2nd time in this early portion of the season the Calhoun Tigers are on the wrong side of the bodybag game of the week as charges have been brought against the Samson Tigers as they outline Calhoun by a score of 64-0.
