Rogers reports to prison

Convicted former Alabama State Representative John Rogers is scheduled to report to the Federal Bureau of Prisons today, to begin serving a 13-month sentence.

This, after he pleaded guilty back in March to obstruction of justice and conspiracy charges involving an illegal kick-back scheme.

The agency has not yet revealed what prison the 83-year old Rogers will be housed in, but sources say it will be near a facility that can meet his medical needs.
