COVID-19 on the rise

U.S. health officials are reporting a spike in COVID cases across the U.S. Coronavirus activity in wastewater has reached "high" or "very high" levels in 26 states, including Alabama.

The spike is linked to super-spreader events, like parties and vacations.

During the summer months, health officials say the heat drives people inside where the virus can spread more easily.
