The contest to see who will be the Republican nominee for House District 74 in Montgomery is going to a runoff. After yesterday’s election, in very light balloting, Charlotte Meadows gathered 44 percent of the vote, while second place finisher Michael Fritz took in 22 percent. The four other candidates, Jesse Heifner, Daniel Sparkman, Tobias Grant and Jay King accrued 12, 11, 7 and 4 percent, respectively. Meadows and Fritz are set for a runoff on August 27. The winner of the runoff faces Democrat Rayford Mack in the general election Nov 12.
