Friday Night Lights Week 7 Preview

Last week in week 6 of the High School Football season the proverbial football corners were busy picking up body bags all over the state as it was several blowout games littered throughout the night.

This week looks to be somewhat more competitive as some of the top teams across the state are set to meet up.

First we start off with our games of the week as the undefeated Lee Generals take the short trip up I-65 to face the always game 4-1 Prattville Lions. And in the somebody’s 0 must go game the 5-0 St. James Trojans host the 6-0 Pike Road Patriots, also in our final game of the week entry undefeated Goshen at 5-0 travels to Luverne to face the 4-0 Tigers.

Other games include the 4-1 Carver Wolverines coming off their first loss of the season last week to face 4-2 Dothan in a 6A match-up, 1-3 Sidney Lanier Poets host 1-4 Russell County for their Homecoming at Crampton Bowl, and 1-5 Park Crossing locks up with 4-2 Eufaula.

6-0 Catholic Knights take a trip to take on 2-3 Ashford, 3-3 Montgomery Academy is on the road to play 1-5 Dadeville, 2-3 ACA takes on 4-2 Headland, while 3-1 Macon-East after that 70 point outburst last week faces off with 4-1 Lowndes Academy.

In our rivalry game of the week the 5-1 Stanhope Elmore Mustangs take on bitter rival the 3-2 Wetumpka Indians.

Other notables games are: 3-1 Autuaga Academy vs. 5-0 Pensacola Catholic, 4-2 Selma takes a trip to face 1-4 Calera, winless Prattville Christian looks for their first win as they travel south to take on 3-3 Southside Selma, 1-5 Autaugaville is at 1-5 Verbena, Powerhouse 5-1 Central Phenix City Red Devils travel down to 2-4 Enterprise, the 0-5 BTW Tuskegee Golden Tigers face 2-4 Dale County, 5-1 Pike County is at 6-0 Providence Christian, 2-4 New Brocton vs. winless Calhoun, 2-3 Greenville vs. 3-2 Charles Henderson, 3-3 Opelika is home vs. 3-3 Benjamin Russell, 6-0 Reeltown is at 3-3 Thorsby, and 2-3 Bullock County prepares to take on 3-2 Beulah.
