Events continue today in the 54th annual Bridge Crossing Jubilee in Selma. An education summit begins at 8am at the Hank Sanders Building on Earl Goodwin Parkway. The Children’s Sojourn follows at 9 at the School of Discovery on Washington Street.
Induction ceremonies for the Legal Guardians Hall of Fame and the Women’s Hall of Fame take place this afternoon. A mock trial plays out in the Dallas County Courthouse at 5pm. At 7, a public conversation is scheduled at First Baptist Church with Dr. William Barber. At the same time a Stomp Out the Vote Step Show is going on at Pickard Auditorium.
A full slate of activities are also on tap for Saturday and Sunday, with the actual re-enactment of the bridge crossing kicking off at 2:30 Sunday afternoon. WVAS News will be on the scene conducting interviews and have full report in Monday's newscasts.
