Candy Capel

Candy Capel, a New Orleans native, is the Station Manager at WVAS. Ms. Capel’s history with WVAS dates back to 1984 where she has served as an announcer, public affairs coordinator, and one of the two co-originators of the station’s annual “Jazz on the Grass Festival”. She is also a grants writer and manager who has secured a number of funding awards from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and other entities.
