November 11,2008 – Alabama Congressman Artur Davis tells WVAS news he will have an announcement to make early next year. That response when we questioned Davis about reported plans to run for Governor. Selma based Zeigler is recalling its more than 28,000 pounds of hot dogs fearing contamination. Zeigler officials say the hot dogs produced on September 22nd may be contaminated with a bacteria that can cause a potentially deadly disease called Listeriosis.
Also, one of WVAS's very own is receiving a special recognition. Announcer Angier Johnson is among 4 honorees recognized by Universal Sisters. Fellow honorees include former Judge Vanzetta McPherson, Veronica McKenzie, and Dr. Beverly Stoudemire-Howett.
