November 25,2008 – A local economics professor agrees with President-elect Barack Obama's pick for Treasury Secretary. Professor Kevin Deravi, of Auburn Montgomery, says Timothy Geithner has the experience need to handle the task ahead and calm jitters on Wall Street.

An Alabama man is among the 14 people who have received pardons from President George W. Bush. Robert Earl Mohon, Jr. of Grant, Alabama was convicted of conspiracy to distribute marijuana.

Alabama State University prepares for a visit by activist Angela Davis on December 1st. Davis will speak at the ASU Acadome beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The countdown to the Turkey Day Classic continues. The 85th Annual Turkey Day Classic gets underway on Thanksgiving Day at 1:00 p.m. in Cramton Bowl. ASU takes on Tuskegee.
