November 18,2008 – It's cold and Flu season, and public health officials are encouraging residents to take precautions and get their Flu shots. The Alabama Department of Public Health reports on average, 226,000 people are hospitalized each year nationwide because of Influenza.
The members of the Alabama Army National Guard's 158th Maintenance Company from Tallassee and Tuskegee will get to spend Thanksgiving at home before being deployed to Iraq. Supporters raised over -20- THOUSAND dollars to bring the Guard members home before being deployed; they had been training in Indiana pending deployment.
